Interviews Galore and a Note About Perspectives

Today, I blog later than usual because I have had an interview with a student, who gave me his perspective of the United States-Cuba relations restoration potential.  After the interview, I immediately went to my staff meeting for the Governors State University newspaper the Phoenix.  We learned today that our newspaper staff can no longer go to New York as planned next month for a college media conference because our budget provider will not give us a budget.  If we go, we must fund it ourselves.  We shall see.

So much for asking SNL’s Stefon about what New York’s “hottest clubs” or sites to go to are.  Oh well.

Additionally, later today, I am interviewing a mother, son, and grandmother who are currently attending GSU at the same time.  It should make for a great interview and a fascinating article.  I am looking forward to it.  It’s been a busy day and quite productive.  That is fantastic to me because boredom is horrible.  Well, aside from my Ray of Sunshine, that wraps it up for today.  How is your day, readers?  I hope all is well with you.

My Ray of Sunshine today is:  I love learning about different perspectives on the world.  Being a college newspaper reporter provides me the opportunity to interview people on various subjects.  Those people are fascinating and bring many perspectives to the table.  It is important to always talk to people because the world is full of perspectives, which people have a wide range of.  We are all unique and offer different perspectives to the table of life, which enlighten all who we meet in ths world.

Interviews Galore and a Note About Perspectives

Bob’s Ray of Sunshine Shines on the Blog of Holly L. Britton, “Holly’s Words”

Today, I want to introduce you to someone.  She is a friend of mine who has a knack for positivity, too.  Her name is Holly Britton.  Holly has begun a blog of her own.  I’ve quoted her on my blog before, and I want you to check out her blog as well.  With each post, Holly offers her perspective on topics that should, and do, intrigue us all.  Her first three posts have been about the differences between love and lust, how technology is overbearing in our world, and what diversity truly means.

Here are excerpts from each of her posts that will get your mind thinking.  You may agree with her:

We all come from different backgrounds; whether that be where you are from throughout the world, what language you speak, or the history of your family. Furthermore, the experiences from your background, which can be related to family, or lack thereof, will help define your perception on future issues or experiences that may arise.”

“Love is built up over time and knows that there will be times when you disagree. However being able to come back to the person you fight with and talk with them is part of the true love commitment.”

“Communicate an idea that you have on your mind and need to share. Sometimes this communication doesn’t require actual words, but a simple understanding of the other person or group of people.”

Holly Britton is a wonderful writer, good person, and has the gift for providing a top-notch perspective that we should all pay attention to.  Perhaps, she will be a motivational speaker.

For my Ray of Sunshine, I want to present some of her own quotes to give you an idea of the person she is and the thoughts she writes.

“We need to keep onto the little things that make us smile or we will just wallow in the pits of sadness from the negativity in which attempts to swallow us at the smallest opportunity.”

“Like yourself for who you are not what you could have been.”

“Power is yours. If you feel powerless its because you let others take your power away. Be the strong powerful person you are meant to be.”

If you like what Holly has to say, feel free to read her words of enlightenment.  I encourage you to do so.  The more wonderful things that we can spread to each other make this world all the more tolerable and positive in the end.

Keep at this, Holly.  Your words are important and deserve to be read.  You have a gift for this.  Readers, you will realize this once you begin reading.  Don’t forget to tell your friends, folks.
