The Positivity of the Chicago Blackhawks

It was reported during the build-up to Game One of the NHL Stanley Cup Final between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Chicago Blackhawks that the Lightning’s Amalie Arena officials would only allow Floridians the opportunity to purchase tickets and anyone sporting a Blackhawks jersey with a ticket would not be allowed into the arena.

When I first heard this, I immediately thought that the Tampa Bay Lightning, or their officials, were already intimidated by the Blackhawks before the puck was even dropped.

Despite their early lead, I was convinced that the Tampa Bay Lightning was beaten even before the game was under way.

This is karma at work.

No amount of restrictions will stop fans.

We always get in somehow.

Maybe next season Tampa Bay will allow fans of opposing teams the opportunity to easily buy tickets and support their side.

After all, it is the out-of towners that bring tourism and money as well as spread the word about Amalie Arena.

I can’t wait for the Blackhawks to win the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, take the Cup, and take him all around the Windy City.

Tampa, learn from this.

I am not a big sports guy, but I love karma coming back.

My Ray of Sunshine for today is…

As NFL great Tom Landry once said,

“I’ve learned that something constructive comes from every defeat.”

Go Hawks!
